Mow Cop and the ridge
Couples marrying near Congleton often want one photograph with a view. The climb towards Mow Cop and Scholar Green gives open country behind the Asquith within ten minutes of the town, and it is a short, calm detour between ceremony and reception rather than a long diversion.
Somerford, Brereton Green and the Cheshire lanes
West of the town the roads flatten out towards Brereton Green and Somerford, where farm and barn venues sit at the end of long gravel tracks. We check surface and turning space beforehand so the car arrives at the door and not at the gate.
